The Mets face Los Bravos tonight, in about 20 minutes, in fact. John Maine takes the mound for the Mets.

I'll probably be flipping back & forth between the Washington-Syracuse matchup on ESPN & the John Curtis-Mandeville LHSAA matchup on CST tonight. Go Patriots!

Last Week

I was out of town back home in Louisiana helping my grandma move into her new home which doesn't have da intranet & my mom only has dial-up which makes posting about as much fun as stapling your nuts to some shards of concrete & then having a person with a size 14 shoe or larger stomp on them. Stomp on your nuts, not the shards of concrete. Well actually both, you get the picture...

Anyway, the Mets won some games last week, swept the Nats, the Saints' starters look ready to go on both offense & defense although I can stand we have Tyler One-Good-Game-On-Thursday-Night-On-ESPN-Several-Years-Ago Palko, a.k.a Tyler OGGOTNOESYAP Palko, trying to make the roster as a 3rd QB. Also, Antonio Pittman looks absolutely clueless in blitz pickup.

Arsenal won their opener against Fulham, drew against Blackburn & Man U only have 2 pts. through 3 matches so far in the EPL. Nice!

LSU Foozball is only 10 days away! If I can pull myself away from the Guitar Hero series tonight, I'll do an LSU rundown starting with the QBs...

RIP, Mike V

Forgot to give a shout out to LSU mascot Mike V, after he passed away on friday. He's no doubt already terrorizing lesser mammals & mascots in the habitat in the sky...

Selfishly, we (LSU) now have our motivation for this year's inaugural Saban Bowl against Bama- "Win it for Mike V!"

So you finally got your title, Peyton. Congratulations on winning the Super Bowl against Da Bears. Coincidentally enough you beat a former University of Florida QB (Rex Grossman- Oy vey! When you stink it up, Rex, you REALLY stink it up!) which is something you couldn't do when you were at the University of Tennessee. Maybe Phil Fulmer was just holding you back, Peyton, with his roving band of tattling future felons of America.

Anyway, congratulations, Peyton, & congratulations to former LSU Tigers, Joseph Addai & Booger McFarland on your Super Bowl victories as well.
